How to Prepare for a Bedrock Quartz Showroom Visit

Bedrock Quartz offers showrooms in West Jordan, Layton, Murray, Pleasant Grove, Spanish Fork, and St. George. We invite you to experience the Bedrock Quartz difference by visiting a showroom before you make any choices about your new countertops. The showroom experience can be extremely helpful by letting you see and feel your options before you choose.

In this post, we want to help you prepare for a visit to any of our showrooms. You are certainly welcome to walk in without any preparations at all. But to get the most out of the experience, we recommend doing a few key things first.

Establish a Budget

Total spend is a concern for just about any home remodeling project. In the kitchen, countertops could be one of the most expensive options homeowners invest in. Therefore, we recommend establishing a budget before you visit a showroom. Knowing how much money you can afford to spend makes it a lot easier for one of our team members to direct you to the most appropriate products.

Also note that budgets are not set in stone. There is some flexibility. If you would rather spend a little more money on a nicer countertop, there are ways to save elsewhere.

Take Measurements or Get Drawings

It is a lot easier for our team members to help you figure out exactly what you need when they have measurements and drawings to work with. Basic measurements include the length, width, and depth of the countertop you are replacing. It is also important to take measurements for any cutouts. These would be spaces for sinks, cooktops, etc.

If you are planning a full remodel or building from the ground up, bring copies of the drawings with you. That is the best way for us to understand your kitchen plans. We can take measurements directly from the drawings.

Look for Inspiration

You might have a very good idea of what you want your kitchen to look like when it’s all done. Yet expressing that to us might not be so easy, that’s why we have a kitchen visualizer tool for you to explore myriad stone options next to different colored appliances and the like. We also recommend looking for inspiration by way of materials you can bring with you. Maybe you have seen pictures online, pictures that give us a good idea of what you’re after. Put them on your phone and bring them along. And if you’re still not sure, you can take stone samples with you after your appointment to get a better feel for how they will look in your space.

If you’ve already chosen your color scheme, get your hands on some paint color chips. Likewise for any cabinet and tile choices you’ve made. Bringing samples to the showroom will help us better guide you in your countertop choices.

Write Down Your Questions

Unless you are a new countertop expert, you probably have questions. Write them down. Between now and the day of your visit, write down each question that comes to mind. Remember that there are no dumb questions. Every question represents an opportunity to learn.

Our team members love to answer questions. So, throw as many as you have at us. We will do our best to give you the right answers. If there is something we don’t know, we will find the answer and get back to you.

Schedule Your Visit

If possible, reach out to us in advance and schedule your visit or better yet you can schedule an appointment online. Make it for a time and date that will give you enough time to spend with us. The last thing you want to do is rush your way through. Believe us when we say there is more to selecting a new countertop than meets the eye.

We look forward to visiting with you at one of our Utah showrooms. Here at Bedrock Quartz, countertops are our passion. We love sharing that passion with visitors.
